"Lifesigns" Reviews

lifesignsYour novel Lifesigns is a fascinating story. It encompasses both the present and a fine understanding of past history. Your attention to detail regarding customs and lifestyles of the Victorian era is appreciated. How you thread the two together is interesting and entertaining. This was a book I was always trying to second guess, but couldn't. The ending definitely warrants a sequel. Thanks for the enjoyable read,
Phillip E., Fresno, Ca.

"This is one of those books that doesn't need chapters. Once you start reading, you just want to keep on going right to the end. Then -- you really didn't want it to end and are yearning for more. Ms. Garcia is obviously a writer with deep wisdom, a creative mind and a wonderful sense of storytelling. Lifesigns is captivating, suspenseful, and descriptive! Loved the book.

Stephanie S., Cambria, Ca

This was great read. It was a great idea for a story and kept me reading because I wanted to see how all the characters fit together in the end. Great first book. Can't wait to read your next one!
Wende R.,

Just watched your interview, it was interesting to hear how this story came about. I have never been a big reader however once I started reading "Lifesigns" I couldn't put it down, it definitely draws you in and makes you want to know more, I hope there is a sequel in the future. Loved it!!

The book was wonderful-I couldn't put it down. It was so well written and had me going back into time and thinking about what could have been. We all have people in our lives that are close to us in so many different ways, that there has to be more in this lifetime for all of us. It would make a great movie and I would read another book by Sheila any time.
Thanks for wonder book and please write another one.

Lifesigns has made me take a closer look at my own life's journey...at myself and those people and events that have made me who I am. This book certainly makes me considert "deja vu" moments in a completely different light.  And as for those times when I look at someone and ask "have we met before"...hmmm...I wonder?

Forget about your plans for the day & prepare to get lost in Lifesigns. This was a book I could not put down until I was done. The attention to detail makes you feel like you are taking the journey with Elizabeth. The end leaves you wanting to continue the journey. A must read!

lifesigns the novelLifesigns wove a thread of events that held my interest as I followed the characters through contemporary and past life experiences. It was a good reminder to pay attention to the subtle underlying events that present themselves in the form of intuition, dreams and the illusive form of inner knowing.

I love the relationships in Lifesigns, especially between the main character and her best friend. I could relate to them because they are the way real families are. It's a 'feel good' book and the marvelous descriptions gave me picture after picture of Elizabeth's travels through time and place. I can't wait to share it with my friends.

Once I started this book, I had difficulty putting it down. It made me rethink how I feel about an afterlife. The story line was great and I loved the ending. In fact, I gave it to my mother-in-law and she loved it, too.
Teri R. Bakersfield, Ca.

From page one my interest was caught up in the story. I liked the way the friendship between Elizabeth and Bre was interwoven through out the book. Familiar scenes of Cambria added to my interest and made it real. Flying to England was another enjoyable chapter as I have visited that area and know of its beauty. A great story, well written.
